Our Philosophy
A cancer diagnosis begins a journey through unfamiliar territory. Sutter patients are fortunate to have many exceptional cancer specialists and treatment paths available to them, each offering unique advantages. Together the multidisciplinary team at Sutter Medical Group (SMG) - Medical Oncology & Hematology and Sutter Medical Group Surgical Oncology offer knowledge and expertise with the full spectrum of medical oncology and hematology diagnoses and provide patients with a continuum of care throughout their journey.

All-Inclusive Services
One of the many benefits of SMG Medical Oncology and Hematology is convenience. We designed our practice to incorporate the services central to the care of patients with cancer, relieving them unnecessary burdens.

Medical Offices
Our medical offices are designed to incorporate special features including calming colors, computers in exam rooms and comfortable waiting spaces.

Infusion
With two infusion centers on campus, patients can receive chemotherapy and meet with their physician without having to travel. Our infusion centers are staffed with specially trained infusion staff and nurses, and offer a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Laboratory
Our onsite lab integrates with our electronic medical records, enabling our providers access to real time results that resort in more timely patient care.

Patient Support Services
In addition to the medical, clinical and surgical treatment available at our office and through our physicians, we have an on-site social worker and financial coordinator to assist the patient and their family with questions regarding insurance, disability, emotional support and transportation.

Valet Parking
Patients who visit our office have access to free valet parking. Valet is available on the right side of the street at the main entrance of 1020 29th Street just before "K" Street.

Research
Research is an integral part of our practice. Our providers are active investigators on clinical trials and patients have the opportunity to participate in a number of studies for different tumor sites.
